Air Duct Sanitization

What’s the Difference Between Cleaning and Sanitizing Air Ducts?

You’ve scheduled your air duct cleaning appointment, and you are ready to get some indoor relief from your allergies! Now that cleaner air is within your grasp, you start to wonder if there’s more that you can do for the air inside your home. If Lowe’s Air Duct Cleaning will be providing this service to you, there is more that we can do! Let’s talk about our air duct cleaning and sanitization services that can benefit both you and your household.

What is Air Duct Cleaning?

When Lowe's Air Duct Cleaning cleans your air ducts, we use a powerful vacuum equipped with a HEPA filter that puts your heating and cooling system under negative pressure. While this vacuum draws air through your system, we will insert cleaning tools into the ducts to dislodge debris that could be stuck to the interior surfaces of the ductwork. Using this push-and-pull method of air duct cleaning, the debris will travel through the ducts to the vacuum and out of your home. Basically, air duct cleaning means that we are removing dust, debris, and contaminants from your air duct system.

What is Air Duct Sanitization?

When we sanitize your air ducts, we apply the EPA-registered EnviroCON product by Safety King, Inc to your air ducts. Known for its low toxicity level and high safety rating, it is highly effective in eliminating odor-causing microorganisms as well as those associated with mold, mildew, and bacterial growth. Most companies charge for this service, but Lowe's Air Duct Cleaning offers it complimentary at your request when you have your air ducts cleaned. As always, we will provide before and after pictures as proof of the success of our services.
